Update on this thing. The car has been torn apart and we found some
issues that were definitely holding the car back. The High flow cat from
the original C2 kit had rattled loose and went almost completely
sideways which in turn had almost fully blocked airflow through the
exhaust which in turn has trashed the turbo. The cat has been removed
and a different style magnaflow high flow cat has been installed and the
turbo has been shipped back to Precision to be repaired. The car has
maybe had only 1000 miles on the turbo kit but the high flow cat that
went bad ruined the power. Also another Southbend Stage 4 ofe clutch has
gone bad.
We just had this same clutch kit go bad about 2 months ago when the
pressure plate exploded and this last time it seemed to be the same
thing but to our surprise it was just the clutch plate had melted to the
flywheel. I have to get a hold of them and see if they can warranty it
but for this monster that now will have 650-700hp we will be switching
to the DM Motorsports kit. Also the engine is now off to the machine
shop.

Just some small updates. We finally got the engine back today so we will
be building everything and putting it all together probably on Monday
once the parts come back from the powdercoater. Also we got the rear
finished were we will be installing the surge tank and the additional
pumps. I welded in a divider that will also have a metal top probably
with dzus fasteners this is very important because all of the fueling
needs to be isolated from the cabin. Although it might look cool to have
the tank out with fancy stainless lines going everywhere it is not safe
whatsoever and the car would never pass any tech inspection if he were
to take it drag racing or road course racing. This will also be painted
all black first to seal it up and then it will be wrapped in dynamat.
Also we got all of the fuel components in and I finished modifying the
fuel rail to accept 8an fittings.

Some pics from the other night. We have the bottom end assembled and the
rest of the engine is being put together today. I should have even more
pics later today. They entire engine was assembled with the new moly we
just switched over to Shaeffer Oil. This is the second engine we have
built using this oil and the results so far are amazing. I switched to
the Shaeffer after learning that Rousch Racing and Richard Petty racing
uses their oil in all of their engines they build and race. It even beat
Amsoil, Redline, and Royal Purple in all the oil testing I have seen.
That paired with the Timken bearing test using the oil and I was sold!

Some more updates. We got some of the dynamat laid
down and also got some of the plumbing finished. Most of the plumbing
is 6an. We have oem fittings on the one side and 6an fittings on the
other. Then we have 8an lines running from the surge tank to the rail.
Also I have some new pics of what we have of the airride so far.

We are still waiting on parts but we at least have the engine put back together.
